Okay, I think I fucked my my LJ cuts pretty badly, but I can't be bothered to fix it.

Today is the last day of my holidays. I'm now upset, nervous and a little excited. Tomorow's just induction, though, so it shouldn't be too bad; after that I have no idea what to expect. It'll be all different.  Hopefully no homework at first, though; I have a vague recollection that I got set an essay my first week in year ten. It was a Food&Nutrition essay, which makes it much, much worse. They're never any fun. Thankfull I'll never have to write another one.

I had a discussion with my older sister about Kin the other day. Her reaction upset me much more than my younger sister's 'you strange person! That's so sad!'. She was very, very concerned. Like seriously concerned. She kept asking me questions that I found hard to answer, and saying 'are you alright?'. I had to keep telling her that I was absolutely fine and perfectly happy, honestly.

On top of that, my hair is wet so I'm cold, and I kind of have to pluck my eyebrows today, which I find quite dull. Also painful. =/

Got back from Edinburgh, which was actually quite fun for a family holiday (was there with my Mum, Bifflecakes (my little sister) Skuster (my Mum's boyfriend, paul) and the larger and smaller spawn of Skuster (his two kids, who don't object to being called 'spawn of Skuster').

We ended up doing all the touristy stuff - whee castle - because the two spawn had never been there before, which meant we also got to go back to the Dynamic Earth Centre (which has improved since we were last there - it has a new thing at the end - the old one used to bore me) and the Camera Obscura, which was just as good as I remember - as well as having a camera obscura has three floors of illusion-science-related-type-stuff (stuff to do with mirrors and electricity, and a whole floor of holograms, many of which are rather freaky (giant spider, anyone?). It also has a really pwnsome shop. I swear we wandered around it for an hour - also it sold little gemstone animals, including little gemstone hares, which I now have one of (though I am, as a result, indebted to my mother).

Anyways. Also went to see two shows, and finished the Star Wars books I was reading - the Callista trilogy, the middle book of which is written by a different author and is absolutely crap (the superweapon that has been being built for the whole book is destroyed a paragraph after being finished. Not only that, but it wasn't even destroyed by enemy forces - it has hit by an asteroid. Not only that, but it didn't even work.) 

The last one was really good, however, possibly because Callista herself only got, like, one scene. It also had a Jedi hutt, freaky insects that I thought were rather awesome, and a happy ending for Admiral Daala, who totally deserved it, even if she was technically evil.

AFTERTHOUGHT: Tis the nine-month CIEday today - ours is November the nineteenth. Evidently today must be a really awesome day. ...Let's have cheesecake.

Well, actually I have a CIE weekend, so it's today and tomorrow.
And this has to be really, really short because my mum needs to work.

After reading this analysis, Kin's trying out mountain hare form.  I'm fairly confident about this, partly because much more of the analysis is just 'yes! Yes, that fits perfectly!' rather than 'well, kind of...', and also it's very similar to the european hare form.

Okay, so, wei decided against the anole form. Yeah, twas a little abrupt. Wei then briefly tried out wallaby, but decided against that as well.
So currently, wei're back to hare - <yup> - partly because wei have nothing better, and partly because, having looked again, the hare analysis fits me better than I though;

-a rather solitary soul, but many perceive you as ‚flirtatious’ anyway (and they aren't wrong ) 
I'm definately solitary, and as for the flirtatious part... kind of.

-you don’t really like being in closed areas (maybe you’re the type of person who is mildly claustrophobic by disposition) 
I am slight claustophobic. Maybe more than slightly.

-you don’t talk much in everyday life, but if you’re scared or fighting you can be pretty noisy. 
Yeah, pretty much - I tend to raise my voice when arguing, but Ihardly talk in lessons at school.

-even if people don’t think you’re much of a fighter and while it’s true that you’d run from fear when cornered, they don’t know how jealous and fierce you can become when it’s about love.
I don't think people would think of me as a fighter, and I am prone to jealousy - mostly when relating to friends.

-no nonsense - kind of person 
Yeah, I would say so.

-some see you as ‘pest’ and because of that some people actively enjoy hurting you 
Not so much now, but when I was younger definately.

-you’re very neat, you don’t like to have a messy home. You’re the person who always cleans up behind her/himself 
I vary, but I'm often a bit of a neat freak.

-you’re pretty sturdy/stoic and you’re not easily embarrassed. 
This one doesn't fit - I'm very, very easily embarrassed.

-‘looks can be deceiving’ goes for you. 
I would say so, yeah - I think I look younger than I am, and I act a lot less mature than I really am sometimes.

-you’re fierce when it comes to family and you’re pretty strict as a parent, but very loving, too. (female hare)
I'm not a parent yet, but I can see myself being strict.

-you had to care for yourself at a young age, but you have always been very mature, too 
I didn't really have to care for myself at a young age, but I think I've always been quite mature.

-you’re adaptable 
I get used to things very, very quickly.

-a born leader, even if you’d prefer to stay in the background 
Not so much.

-you don’t see yourself as ‘unique’ or ‘special’, you assume there are much people like you out there, but you don’t really care. You’re naturally self-confident (unless cornered). 
I'm not really self-confident, but I've never seen myself as unique.

-the only thing that can bring you down is a physical illness, being hurt doesn’t affect you much 
I'd agree with this.

-you’re not one to bring down. You’re successful, fierce and level-headed, but you’re one to panic and run in situations others would fight. On the other hand you assume that the fact you know when to run has you brought where you are today. 
I think so yeah. It's another one I can't justify, though.

-you’re not one to keep a special home range. ‘Always on the move’ you go where it pleases you, you’re independent and love your freedom, although you dream about ‘settling somewhere’ one day. 
This one doesn't really fit.

-you will only give birth to children when their future is 100% secure (female hare) 
Yeah, I think so.

Just a quick note as I need to start revising; wei finally got around to posting an RA, and Kin's trying out brown anole;



I'm definately going to mis the hare form - <Damn straight!> - and it still feels a little weird, but I feel like I've got rid of something I didn't want any more. So all in all, form change = good.
