SO. MUCH. FOOD.
That was the theme of Christmas Eve for my family.
Today, I baked Christmas biscuits (which are now decorating the tree, yay) and Yule Log (for tomorrow), which I still have to ice later. My younger sister made garlic and parsley bread, which was OM NOM NOM'alicious. My older sister made cranberry upside down cake, which is also for tomorrow.
Then by the time all that was done, it was time for my mum to start cooking. And today there was me, my two sisters (one back from university), my mum, her boyfriend, my uncle, my Gran, and two friends of my mum, which comes to nine people over all, sooo... lots of food. My mum made just-barely-Greek-style food, which meant chicken and lamb and salad with feta cheese in it, plus vegetables, humus, some other sauce that I didn't catch the name of, and my sister's OM NOM NOM'alicious bread.
AND THEN there was Christmas pudding, because my sister is cooking tomorrow and she doesn't want to make it, with brandy butter, and/or pistachio ice cream (made by my sister) with spiced plums (made by my mother).
I am now feeling as if I want to take a nap. I haven't eaten this much in a while. *sigh*
And then we will do it all again tomorrow. My sister baked cinnamon buns especially for breakfast. Right now I am wondering if I will be ready to eat by then.
We also watched A Muppet Christmas Carol. <3 And we have the most amazing tree - my little sister insisted on getting a six foot tree, because our tree last year was so tiny, so it's huge, and we lost our tinsel, which was a disappointment at first but now seems like a blessing. Asd well as the biscuits, there is two kinds of chocolate. And candy canes. Though they have been in a box with the decorations for a full year so I wouldn't recommend anyone eat them. >_>
