Prom and Work Experience
Okay. So. The prom twas Saturday night, and it rained rather a lot (enough that ealier in the day I had to blow dry my hair).
And Ellen had on a dress that I think made her look like Cinerella (off to the ball, I mean) - the kind that makes your self-esteem briefly plummet.
There was also someone who i swear was wearing cowboy boots, and a girl in an over-sized barbie dress (SERIOUSLY. It was a huge puffy pink gauze thing). Oh, and a boy in a kilt. YAY SCOTTISH PRIDE!
Then, the day after, me and Elen came up to Edinburgh, which would have been a lot easier if the seats had been reserved properly and we'd been a ble to sit in the seats we were supposed to sit it. It probably turned out better in the long run, though - we got a table. We also got stuck behind the refreshments trollery with our suitcases, which was awful as we could only move forward three steps at a time.
I started my work experience yesterday, and have since met many people, some of which are very annoying, and one of which is incredibly short (he's shorter than me, anyway, and I'm not exactly tall for my age).
And today I FINALLY (or so it felt) got to do some actual work for a brief period, helping the people at the issue desk to give out and take in books. It was fun, though the scanner hated me in the way only an inaminate object can.
