Fic Rec + HOME
Firstly, I don't often do this, but if anyone hasn't read At The Edge by
baby_razzle , GO LOOK BECAUSE IT IS AMAZING. : D
Anyway, now that is done...\o/ I AM HOME FOR CHRISTMAS. Thus far the most significant thing that has happened is that I accidentally came out to my sister.
I DO NOT KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED. Srsly. I can't remember the lead-up. All I know is that for some reason I jokingly asked her if she was a lesbian, she said 'no, are you?' and I was all 'maaaybe'. Then she, being the forceful person that she is, forecefully forced me to tell her what I was referring to.
Which I did not really want to do, because as liberal as my family are, they cannot change the fact that they are all straight, white and middle class (though in fairness my mum's boyfriend only fills the first - I gather he had a rather less comfortable upbringing). Or that my sister was baffled as to how I could know I liked girls if I had never had a boyfriend. despite the fact that she has never had a boyfriend. And did not consider 'I am not currently categorising my sexuality' to be an acceptable answer.
I am not looking forward to the inevitable day when my mother must find out. My older sister will be even worse. *shudders*
