1. As has been dominating my tweets lately, I have rainbow lunch bags. \o/

2. Today I discovered Kelloggs' Special K snacks. They are a bit of a mixed belssing as, yeah, they are like ninety calories each, but on the other hand they are very sugary, and they achieve the low calorie count by being TINY. The cereal bars are half the size of all other cereal bars. But on the other hand, they are delicious. \o/

3. Bacon is evil. Delicious, delicious evil.

4. I have a papercut on my thumb.

5. Today is the second day running on which I have been at the library from nine thirty till five o'clock. I went to the library cafe for... well, it was meant to be an hour, but it ended up being an hour and a half, both days. Today, the only time I actually left the library was to buy the aforementioned cereal bar in the student shop. I was still famished when I got home.

6. Herodotus is awesome. But heavy to carry home. He claims that there is a priestess somewhere who routinely grows a beard.

AKA  a list of  other odd things I wrote on my notes and later rediscovered when revising.

1. 'Hunger gnaws'. Quite a lot. Or more often just 'hungry'. I guess I had these lessons before lunch.

2. 'THE 21ST CENTURY'S WHEN IT ALL CHANGES. YEATS IS READY.' On the page for The Second Coming by W.B Yeats.

3. 'Sup' and 'hi!' in little speech bubbles coming from two Greek statues. In the background of a photo of the statue I was actually studying.

4. 'JESUS CHRIST IT'S A LION GET IN THE CAR'. Which was completely relevant. Observe! It's the frieze of the Siphnian Treasury at Delphi, made around 525 BC, and it depicts the Gigantomachy - battle of gods and giants.

5. 'He's the gay best friend!', next to a description of one character in The Return of the Native. Because one of the boys in my class made such a comparison. Which is completely illogical, because the character in question is a ladies' man.

6. 'He had a shiny head', next to a picture of Kant. In fairness,he really does.

ANNND NOW I HAVE MY CLASSICAL ART EXAM.

So I was revising today. Which meant I was reading through my philosophy notes from earlier this year. As they are, well, mine, they are covered in doodles.
I turned over one page to find this written with great care and attention in one of the margins:

I've just discovered that, as part of my notes on The Second Coming by WB Yeats, I wrote:

'The twentieth century's when it all changes... and Yeats is ready!'

Now am I amused. xD

Of course, that will make no sense to anyone who hasn't read the poem... *links to it*

Damn Christmas holidays. >_< Rather than re-reading The Odyssey, I just spent aaages making a very tiny paper chain.
It makes more sense if you look at this:

As is quite clear there, I own a dolls house. Hence... very tiny decorations (and ONE DAY I WILL PAINT AND DECORATE IT I SWEAR).

It's so dinky. I love it. However, how would I sum up the experience of making it? In one word? Excruciating. D : I've never been more scared of breaking something in my life.

1. Sitting with a textbook open but not actually reading it counts as revision.

2. Likewise, having a revision site open in another tab/window counts as revising.

3. Food eaten while revising contains no calories.

4. If you start watching something whilst on a break from revision, you must keep watching it till the end before you start revising again.

5. Two hours is a perfectly reasonable amount of time for a break. It is not procrastination.

6. Sunday is the day of rest. You can't revise on a Sunday.

7. If someone starts talking to you whilst you're revising, it would be rude not to stop to talk to them.

8. If you don't get something, don't worry. You can always go over it again later. The night before the exam. In a complete panic.

9. Background music is essential to revision, no matter what your teachers say. Background television isn't that bad an idea either.

10.  Your exams aren't that important, really... there's always retakes... and next year... and so on.

I have decided I am going to dictate my own entry. Ronnicus-icon does not get nearly enough use.

No, I'm not procrastinating. Why do you ask?

...I'm on a break. Srsly.

I have an exam tomorrow. I'd really like to re-read The Return of the Native (set text) first, but... it's long, and there's nothing like enough time. I've already read the whole of Translations (another set text) and all the set poems today, but a good chunk of The Odyssey for my exam on Friday.
Annnd tomorrow afternoon, I have to re-read Electra. ;_;

Strangely, the prospect of spending a week revising philosophy, poetry and classical art is a lot less daunting than the prospect of spending Christmas revising... well, everything.

Yeah, I really should be revising right now. But french revision is dull (the history held my attention more).
So instead, I shall  play around with different colours. Kin has expressed a desire to have his own colour to type in rather than italics, and I agree.

....and wei're going with the blue. Want to say something? Okay. Uh... blue is good! I like blue! Also, REVISE, DAMN YOU!
